Agafay Desert – One Day Excursion

Just outside Marrakech, the Agafay Desert opens up into rocky hills and dusty plains with the Atlas Mountains standing tall in the distance. It's quieter and closer than the Sahara, which makes it perfect for a half-day or full-day escape. Hop on a quad bike and ride across the rugged terrain, or if you prefer a slower pace, take a camel ride through the desert like locals have done for generations. Afterward, sit down for a Berber lunch at a desert camp, and if you stay until evening, you'll catch the sunset turning the mountains gold and orange.
