Ouzoud Waterfalls – One Day Excursion

Located about 150 km northeast of Marrakech, the Ouzoud Waterfalls are among the most impressive natural sites in Morocco. The falls drop over 110 metres into a turquoise basin surrounded by olive and pomegranate trees. Take the trail down to the base where you can cool off by the water, spot Barbary macaques in the trees, and hop on a small boat to get closer to the cascades. Local guides lead walks along the canyon paths with views of the falls from multiple angles. A simple lunch of fresh fish or tagine is available at the riverside restaurants. A full day out in nature, well worth the drive.
