Essaouira – One Day Excursion

Essaouira is a coastal town on the Atlantic coast, about 180 km west of Marrakech. The drive takes you through argan tree forests where you may spot goats climbing the branches. Once there, explore the UNESCO-listed medina with its blue and white streets, walk along the wide sandy beach, and stroll through the historic ramparts overlooking the ocean. The town is known for its fresh seafood, so lunch at the port market where fishermen grill their catch right in front of you is a must. Essaouira has a relaxed atmosphere quite different from Marrakech.
